Getting a little confused with this cruise lingo?
Have you heard the people on-board with their cruises talk, no need to panic as here at PTSD travel blog will explain all this confusing Cruise Terminology
Great we are now on the Ship, did you notice I called it a ship, not a boat, the boat is the small one that will be taking you to shore if the crew hear you calling the ship a boat. If you're on a River Cruise ship, the crew may use a boat to pick you up if you haven’t managed to swim ashore after they throw you overboard for calling their ship a boat.
Some of the words you would have heard when booking and now on the Ship may sound strange to you especially if you are a first-time cruiser, so here are a few terms to get your head around.
The terminology is correct, but with a little twist!
